OEBERGS represents Vindin in establishing wind power in Finland

Advokatfirman Oebergs AB has represented Vindin for the construction of a new 15 MW wind farm in Ostrobothnia Finland. Svalskulla wind farm, which is under construction, will consist of five V112 3.0MW wind turbines from Vestas Finland Oy. Svalskulla will become VindIn’s first Finnish wind farm and is expected to be finished and commence delivering electricity onto the Finnish grid in the autumn of 2014. The investment is being project financed, by loans from Nordea Bank and equity from VindIn’s owners.

Vindin who already owns and operates two wind farms in Sweden, is owned by some of the Nordic region’s most electricity-dependent industrial corporations. Anders Lyberg, Vindin AB’s CEO, states: “Svalskulla is our first project in Finland and an important pilot project for us. We value Oebergs knowledge and experience in project finance and in wind power”.

Oebergs team was led by senior partner Björn Öberg, assisted by senior associate advokat Maria Hanbo and Ida Kjos, while Vestas was represented by in-house legal counsel Ola Larsson, based in Malmö. Nordea Bank was represented by in-house legal counsel Eva Österström Rietz in Stockholm and by Krogerus Attorneys Ltd in Helsinki. The Krogerus team was led by partner advokat Päivi Toivari, assisted by partner Ville Hailikari, senior associate advokat Heta Rönkkö and associates Meri-Katriina Kanervisto and Nikolas Sjöberg.
