Advokatfirman Oebergs’ stance towards sponsored legal directories

Big social challenges tend to reorganize priorities, and this holds true for Advokatfirman Oebergs in light of the current global crisis. This is normally a time when Swedish law firms acknowledge themselves on legal directories and pay high fees for exposure and self-congratulatory advetisements. Given the current state of crisis, Advokatfirman Oebergs does not partner with any such ranking directories. Instead, we are donating the corresponding amounts to organizations which promote social and economic support. The following is Advokatfirman Oebergs’ own directory of legal sponsorship:

1. Giving People
Times of crisis often have the highest impact on already marginalized groups in the social periphery, both in terms of health and economic opportunities. Advokatfirman OEBERGS thus sponsors Giving People - an organization which benefits families in poverty. Giving People assists families who are in need of short-term help to cope with difficult situations, for example unemployment or sickness, which could eventually become permanent. The current situation is forecasted to have a major impact on the employment in many low-paid sectors, why this focus is particularly needed.

2. Volutary sport- and cultural associations for children
We recognize that the current situation will have a big impact on supervision and care for children as a result of mandatory or voluntary school closures. To maintain business as usual for as many people as possible, it is thus vital that associations can uphold safe and stimulating leisure activities for children. Advokatfirman Oebergs is thus proud to sponsor a number of voluntary athletic associations, cultural establishments and activities for children in an around Stockholm.

3. Operation Smile
The current strain on the Swedish healthcare sector pulls medical resources from other parts of the world. To support both the efforts in Sweden, and the maintenance of health missions abroad, Advokatfirman Oebergs partners with Operation Smile, a Swedish organization which provides healthcare to children in developing countries. Through their own clinics, Operation Smile currently strives to uphold the emergent medical care that the situation in each country requires.
