Our hopes for the year 2021

2020 was a year that fundamentally challenged long-established certainties about society and the world of work. Looking ahead, Advokatfirman Oebergs will strive to make 2021 a year of reliability and predictability on the infrastructure- and renewable energy markets. In the following paragraphs, some of our team members highlight what they hope will happen during the new year:

Liselotte Rios, associate:

During the year 2020 we learnt that the world as we know it can change quickly. My hope for this year is that we (i.e. humanity) promote renewable energy so that climate becomes a constant in an ever-changing world.

Elisabet Heimer, associate:

I hope that issues in energy and infrastructure continue to be high on the agenda to enable the transition to a sustainable society and that the Oebergs team continues to gain the trust of our clients in projects that are part of this transition.

Linn Dahl, associate:

I believe that 2021 will be a year of even greater interest in renewable energy. It will be particularly interesting to see the result of the investigation regarding the removal of the municipal veto right of wind power, which will be finished by the summer of 2021. This is relevant because wind power developers must be able to predict whether the projects will be approved, and the the municipal the veto power is a key reason why fewer projects are being realized.

Christian Humble, associate:

To help Sweden recover after the Covid-pandemic during 2021 and in the years ahead, I hope that public policy makers involve the private sector in the development of sustainable, modern, and resilient infrastructure, as this would boost employment and support long-term economic growth.
